When you think about it, Lucky Chucky and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania are almost a match made in heaven considering how the 2010 trotter of the year excelled over the five eighths tracks that dominate the Keystone state.

At two, one of Chucky’s better efforts came in the $450,000 Valley Victory at what was then Harrahs Chester winning easily in his richest victory of the season.

Then at three, Lucky Chucky set a record with a totally dominant 8 length 1:53 score in the $500,000 Colonial over the same course.

Later on, Lucky Chucky would win the $970,000 Canadian Trotting Classic and was voted trotter of the year for 2010.

Lucky Chucky, like likely Horse of the Year for 2012 Chapter Seven is by Windsong’s Legacy the first trotting  triple crown winner in over 30 years.

Lucky Chucky will stand for $5,000 at Perretti Farms of Pennsylvania.  All correspondence to the New Jersey office as usual.

Adios was 22 when both Bret Hanover and Adios Vic were foaled. Speedy Crown was actually 25 when the great Moni Maker came along. Western Hanover was 17 when Well Said happened and Gene Abbe was all of 30 when his all time best Big Towner arrived on the scene.

Consequently, there’s every reason to expect that Hambletonian sire Muscles Yankee may indeed have another Muscle Hill or two in the immediate cards.

Muscles Yankee wound up as the 2nd leading trotting sire in the all important category of 2:00 2-year-old trotters with 19 trailing Donato Hanover but ahead of Credit Winner, Cantab Hall and Kadabra. Muscles Yankee, with three consecutive Hambletonian champions to his credit, will stand for 2013 at Perretti Farms of Pennsylvania. All booking arrangements will be handled by the New Jersey office.

Rocknroll Hanover led all pacing sires in the definitive category of all age money earners despite the fact that his oldest foals are but 5-years-old. Rocknroll Hanover was also the leading sire of 2 and 3-year-old money winners. And he was the leading sire of $100,000 winners with 31 again despite the fact that his oldest foals are but 5-years old. Rock N Roll Hanover will stand for 2013 at Perretti Farms of Pennsylvania.

Among the more interesting foals expected at Perretti Farms this year will be the colt or filly out of Platinum Choice a full sister to the famed Canadian grey gladiator Admirals Express a winner of $1.7 million in a distinguished career. Like her full brother Platinum Choice is a bright grey in color and if she’s anything like her productive dam Platinum Card will enjoy a long and successful career as a broodmare. Who knows, maybe we too will raise a white colt or filly next year. And best of all, he or she will be by Rocknroll Hanover.
